F1 drivers pay tribute to Ken Block after Gymkhana star and rally driver dies at 55

The likes of Jenson Button and Esteban Ocon have paid tribute to rally and stunt driver Ken Block, who passed away at the age of 55 on January 2.

Block began his rallying career in 2005 but made waves with his Gymkhana video series that saw him drift and jump in spectacular style across the globe. The American driver also co-founded DC Shoes, competed in the World Rally Championship, World Rallycross and numerous other disciplines.

Hoonigan Industries, Block's clothing and lifestyle brand, announced on January 2 that the Californian died at the age of 55 in a snowmobile accident. They stated: "Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed. Please respect the family’s privacy at this time while they grieve."
