Carlos Sainz bagged the fastest time for a second successive practice session in Singapore, leading George Russell in second and Lando Norris in third.
Ferrari have now claimed top spot in all three practice sessions at the Marina Bay Circuit – after Leclerc was fastest in FP1 – and will hope to repeat those efforts in qualifying later today.
For championship-leader Max Verstappen, going for a record-extending 11th straight victory this weekend, fourth in the timings was as good as it got. The Dutchman was less than happy in the session, complaining of ‘unacceptable’ issues with his upshifts.
There were also hairy moments in FP3 for Liam Lawson, who slid his AlphaTauri through Turn 2 but thankfully avoided hitting the barrier before spinning back around and continuing. Alex Albon also had a moment going into the run off area at Turn 14, to briefly bring out the yellow flags.
