Kimi Antonelli ended his final practice session for the Australian Grand Prix in the wall.
Kimi Antonelli dramatically crashed out of Saturday’s final practice session for the Australian Grand Prix with a violent double impact in the closing minutes.
Antonelli had just started a lap at Melbourne’s Albert Park Circuit when he lost control at the exit of Turn 1, slammed into the wall on the outside, then slid back across the track and hit the concrete barriers again.
While the young Italian swiftly confirmed that he was unharmed and subsequently hopped out of the car, Mercedes mechanics have been left with a massive amount of damage to repair before Qualifying later in the day.
