Qualifying for the Turkish Grand Prix was one of the craziest in living memory, as Stroll stunned the paddock by claiming his maiden pole position in the treacherously slippy conditions, as team mate Sergio Perez took his own career-best qualifying in third, behind Red Bull's Max Verstappen.

There was plenty of intrigue further down the grid, too, with both Lando Norris and George Russell receiving five-place grid penalties for failing to slow down sufficiently under yellow flags, while Carlos Sainz got a three-place drop for impeding Perez in Q2.
