In my column after the Chinese Grand Prix I said I’d be surprised if Norris didn’t take his first Grand Prix win in 2024 – but I didn’t expect that victory to come quite as soon as the very next race!
McLaren’s promised upgrades arrived in Miami and the team were quietly confident of them having a strong effect, thrusting the already competitive team right towards the front.
