RACE HIGHLIGHTS: Catch up on all the action from the Mexico City Grand Prix
Mercedes upset the expected order on Saturday by sealing a front row lock-out in qualifying for the Mexico City Grand Prix, but the Silver Arrows couldn't even maintain the lead for one corner of the race after Max Verstappen leapfrogged both polesitter Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton into Turn 1 to take the lead.
It was a lead he would keep all the way to the chequered flag to seal his third victory in Mexico, and extend his championship advantage to 19 points over Hamilton, who eventually finished second.
As for pole man Bottas, his race was heavily compromised after he was tipped into a spin at the first corner, and it didn't get much better for him after that. Hit play on the video above to see how the action played out at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
