Red Bull sign Sette Camara as Test and Reserve Driver

Brazilian driver Sergio Sette Camara is back in Red Bull colours after rejoining their programme as Test and Reserve Driver for them and AlphaTauri this season. He will share the role with Sebastian Buemi who has been both teams’ Reserve Driver since 2012.
Sette Camara was part of Red Bull’s junior programme in 2016 and, this season, will assist Buemi with simulator work and travel to races with both AlphaTauri and Red Bull Racing.

The 21-year-old is no stranger to Formula 1 as he was McLaren’s Test and Development Driver in 2019 and tested their MCL34 before splitting with the team.
"I am extremely happy to join for the 2020 season," he said. "I've been watching F1 since I was five years old and I'm humbled to have been given this opportunity."
Having finished fourth in the 2019 Formula 2 Championship, Sette Camara now has enough points for an F1 Superlicence.
