Was Antonelli's US Grand Prix victory his most dominant win yet?

Charles Leclerc trimmed nearly two seconds off Kimi Antonelli’s winning margin on the final lap of the US Grand Prix, meaning he fell fractionally short of beating the Italian’s season’s best 13.7 seconds gap over Oscar Piastri in Japan earlier this year. That hasn’t stopped Toto Wolff from declaring that this latest victory was Antonelli’s best race.
That’s huge praise from his boss and whilst the drive was far less eye catching than some of his other wins this season, you can see why Toto was so impressed.
Kimi nailed Qualifying to start from a pole Mercedes themselves thought a long shot. Statistically pole position in Austin is one of the hardest places to retain the lead from at the start though – it’s so wide into the first corner and historically the driver starting in second has tended to get better launches and have a golden opportunity to dive into the lead.
