WATCH: Aston Martin AMR23 hits the track for Silverstone shakedown

Aston Martin’s new Formula 1 challenger made its track debut on Wednesday, with the team hopping from their factory to the nearby Silverstone Circuit for a shakedown session.
Aston Martin presented the AMR23 to the world on Monday night, describing it as a “considerable evolution” over its predecessor via a “heavily revised” front wing, new sidepods and a new engine cover.

Two days on, the team regrouped at a damp Silverstone to run the car for the first time, sharing shots of Lance Stroll leaving the garage and flashing past the pits.
Stroll has been joined at Aston Martin for the 2023 campaign by two-time world champion Fernando Alonso, as the team enter the third year of their five-year plan to reach the front of the F1 grid.
Stroll and Alonso will be looking to combine and lift Aston Martin from back-to-back P7 classifications in the constructors’ standings, having narrowly lost out on P6 to Alfa Romeo last year.
