As the drivers get set to slug it out in the Styrian mountains once more this weekend, we look back on some of the most heart-warming moments from races past in Austria.
Murray Walker famously caused Nigel Mansell all sorts of pain when questioning the Briton’s bump on his head in 1987, and he also provided the commentary when Niki Lauda won on home soil for McLaren in 1984.
In more recent history, Pascal Wehrlein had to buy the beers after coming home in the points for Manor, while Lando Norris scored a maiden podium in this race last year – sparking some particularly rapturous champagne celebrations.
And who could forget that duel between Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen for victory a couple of years ago as they went wheel to wheel round the Red Bull Ring, with the Dutchman barging his way past in front of an ecstatic Dutch crowd to win for Red Bull?
