Laurent Mekies is gearing up for his first race weekend as Team Principal and CEO at Red Bull – and, before the action gets underway, the Frenchman sat down with Lawrence Barretto to discuss his new role.

Mekies has a wealth of motorsport experience, having progressed from arriving into F1 as an engineer with Arrows in 2001 through to holding senior roles at the likes of Ferrari and Racing Bulls.

Now he faces his next challenge after taking over at Red Bull, and Mekies took a moment during the Belgian Grand Prix weekend to share his thoughts on the task ahead.
