WATCH: Ride onboard as scintillating Sainz takes pole for the Singapore Grand Prix
Carlos Sainz claimed back-to-back pole positions as his brilliant 1m 30.984s lap earned him top spot for Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix.
The Ferrari driver similarly sealed P1 in qualifying at Monza two weeks ago, but this time he won't have a Red Bull breathing down his neck after Max Verstappen was knocked out in Q2 at the Marina Bay Circuit.
With George Russell starting second on the grid and Charles Leclerc third, Sainz will want to convert his pace into the first non-Red Bull victory of the year.
