Max Verstappen was the fastest driver on the first day of running in Montreal, with the championship leader topping the timesheets in the second practice session at this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix.
On the soft tyre, under cooler temperatures, Verstappen set a blistering time of 1m 14.127s to lead rival Charles Leclerc by 0.081s. Carlos Sainz, in the other Ferrari, was 0.225s further behind Verstappen in P3.
