Monza may demand engine power, but with all that speed comes a huge amount of pressure on the brakes. In this week's episode of Tech Talk, Craig Scarborough talks stopping power with Brembo's Andrea Algeri.
Brembo have supplied brakes to multiple Formula 1 championship-winning teams including Ferrari in the 1970s and 2000s, McLaren-Honda, Red Bull and most recently Mercedes.
So, when drivers slow from 330km/h at Monza's Turn 1, how do their brakes withstand the intense heat of up to 1,200 degrees Celsius?
